MY DESIGN PROCESS - ADDIE

ANALYSIS

Seedling Stage: I begin by planting the seed of understanding through a collaborative kickoff meeting. By engaging with key stakeholders, I gain valuable insights into the learner's needs and can colloborate to identify the problem and set clear learning objectives. This initial stage is crucial, as it lays the foundation for a successful learning experience.

DESIGN

Nurturing Stage: Like a dedicated gardener, I cultivate a learning design, rooted in the insights from the kickoff meeting. This blueprint outlines the content, activities, and assessments, providing a fertile ground for learner growth. Through collaboration with stakeholders, I ensure the design aligns with organizational goals & learner needs. Just as a gardener tends to their plants, I maintain ongoing check-ins with SMEs and stakeholders which allows me to refine the design, ensuring a bountiful harvest of learning.

DEVELOPMENT

Growth Stage: I transform the detailed design into engaging learning experiences, from interactive simulations to informative videos. By leveraging powerful tools like Articulate Storyline, Rise and Vyond, I bring the learning content to life. As the learning solution matures, it's ready to be integrated into the learning management system or delivered through facilitated training sessions.

IMPLEMENTATION

Harvest Stage: Just like a gardener harvests their crops, I gather the fruits of my labor by implementing the learning solution. This stage is about putting our plan into action and watching learners blossom. Similar to a garden needing ongoing care, I provide support and guidance to learners, trainers, and facilitators. By monitoring progress and addressing any concerns, we ensure the learning experience takes root and flourishes.

EVALUATION

Renewal Stage: Like a gardener assessing their harvest, I evaluate the effectiveness of the learning solution. By gathering feedback and analyzing data, I identify areas for improvement and celebrate successes. This reflective process allows me to refine future learning experiences, ensuring continued growth and development.

Applied Instructional Design Academy

Applied Instructional Design Academy (AIDA) is a 9-month program where members receive an in-depth education and training in the following areas: Instructional Design Fundamentals, Articulate Rise, Storyline, e-Learning Development, and Instructional Design Process. Members earn badges throughout their journey, after completing 400+ lessons, receive extensive coaching, and complete a rigorous set of learning activities with practice, feedback, multiple revisions, and the completion of simulated client projects.
